You may have caught wind of this from others, but I wanted to make sure you knew about a special gathering taking place in Berkeley on March 6th. Please feel free to spread the word, it’s pretty exciting!
COMMUNITY PARTY/OPEN HOUSE
3PM-6PM – SUNDAY MARCH 6TH
The Backroom, 1984 Bonita (at University), Berkeley
5pm Music with Jim Nunally, Tony Marcus, Chad Manning & Friends
Wine & Cheese refreshments provided by your hosts (donations welcome)
Meet up with friends, see a new traditional music venue called The Backroom, hear some live music from some of Berkeley’s most treasured musicians. We have ideas for how to build support for the traditional music community, including new venues and programs, and we want to hear yours! Get involved, volunteer or just hang out & enjoy a nice afternoon with friends & music.
We are forming an association to develop programs and initiatives, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to get updates.
PARKING: There is an outdoor UC lot on Bonita. You can park there for $2/hour. This block of Bonita is NOT a through street, so if you prefer not to park in the UC lot, best to seek parking elsewhere, i.e. University Ave.
